Ro Spit: The Oh S#!t Project (Mixtape)

"One of the most coveted independent albums to come out of Michigan in 2009, Ro Spit drops his first solo project today, November 10. Known for the fly guy emcee style, Ro Spit has chosen to take the path less travelled by labeling his “Oh S#!t Project” as more than a mixtape, but not quite an album. The project features the likes of hip hop greats like Bun B, Curtains, Marvwon, Big Sean, Monica Blaire and Stretch Money. Sponsored by Acapulco Gold and Burn Rubber, the tracks on the project prove to be just as fresh."

"The 109th entry in our DJBooth.net Freestyle Series comes courtesy of The ILLZ, the Jersey up-and-comer who earned rave reader reviews for mixtape tracks Crazy and Heaven (Higher). On his brand new, previously-unreleased Prelude to the Sickness freestyle, the currently-unsigned rapper flows over original boardwork by Ill Tal. Curren$y: iHipHop Interview (Video)

"So I linked up with Curren$y at Dame Dash’s “24 Hour Karate School” for a quick interview. We mainly talked about what he represents and his unwillingness to portray himself in any other manner than who he actually is. I think Spitta’s stance on this has played a pivotal roll in maintaining his relevancy and his fans dedication. It’s about the culture, and not the money for Curren$y. How many other rappers can say that with a straight face?"

OkayplayerTV: Wale (Video)

Here is some more Wale love for you guys.

" After a brief hiatus, okayplayerTV is back. This time around we’re featuring D.C.’s own, Wale. In the clip, he talks about the Afrobeat/Go Go influence in his music, being a close friend to The Roots, his favorite emcees, and the anxiety leading into his debut album. At long last Wale’s highly anticipated album, Attention Deficit, is in stores today, make sure to pick that one up (iTunes, Amazon). The LP features Bun B, Gucci Mane, Jazmine Sullivan, Pharrell Williams, Chrisette Michele, K’Naan, Marsha Ambrosius, J. Cole, Melanie Fiona, and more. Props to Greg The Dude and Tunji on the video."

RH TV: Emilio Rojas Freestyle in The Park

"In connection to the release of Emilio Rojas' new mixtape, The Natural, we bring you his Freestyle In The Park. This was filmed at Soundscape Studios in Chicago" - RubyHornet

Drake Explains Hot97 Freestyle (Audio)

“I’ll never forget the night, man, when I went up to Hot 97, and it wasn’t scheduled,” Drake explained. “It wasn’t like, you know, ‘Drake’s coming up here Tuesday.’ It was literally like, ‘Funk Flex wants to meet you,’ and bam, like, two seconds later, it was like, ‘Let’s go on the radio and just kill New York.’ I’ll never forget how nervous I was. It was such a rookie hip-hop moment — and, obviously, the controversy of me pulling out my phone and rapping off my phone because I just wasn’t prepared. A lot of people don’t know the difference between freestyle or off the top and coming to a radio show knowing you got to go there, so you got verses cued up in your head, whether they be off your upcoming album or verses just that you have laying around. A lot of artists get that preparation time.”

Serius Jones: Meet Me At The Top

It's been a while since I heard something new from Serius. But now that can be scratched out due to the fact that today he has blessed us with "Meet Me At The Top". Hit the link for the full download below.

Eternia & MoSS: Road to Release EP#13

"In Episode #13 the world is introduced to super-producer MoSS. Admittedly an elusive cat, MoSS appears w/ Eternia on FLOW 93.5 FM in Toronto to debut the world premiere of a song from "AT LAST". DJ Premier, Termanology & Statik Selektah speak on why MoSS is that dude, & MoSS gets excited over some banned vinyl from Chile. Just another day in the studio...

In the upcoming months, eternia will release steady video & audio leaks leading up to the highly anticipated release of eternia & MoSS's debut album, "AT LAST". Follow them as they shop for a record deal, promote the album, and countdown to the release date. And you just never know what special guests may pop up... stay tuned!"

Obie Trice's Special Reserve To Be Released Dec. 12th

"Returning with his first LP since his departure from Shady Records (where he was one of the label’s top selling artists), Obie Trice readies a new street LP, Special Reserve, which finds him collaborating solely with rising producer MoSS.

With a very strong fanbase, a strong presence on commercial radio and having sold in excess of 1.5 million albums to date (including the certified Platinum Cheers), Special Reserve is a departure from Obie’s typical sound, as a wide range of gritty audio mosaics are provided by MoSS, as he continues to not only raise his profile, but the bar he’s set from his previous work with Raekwon, Ghostface, Joell Ortiz, Joe Budden, AZ, Slum Village, Havoc, Kool G Rap, KRS-One/Buckshot etc. MoSS is also the first producer signed to the legendary DJ Premier’s “Works of Mart” production company."

Tracklist

1.) Welcome
2.) Got Hungry
3.) You’ve Been Slain
4.) On & On
5.) I Am
6.) 4 Stories
7.) Roughnecks f/Deuce Wonder
8.) Cool Cat
9.) What You Want
10.) Jack My Dick
11.) Dope, Jobs, Homeless (alternate take / Bonus Song)
